Attacked quail

I have a quail who was fine yesterday but her eye seems to have been attacked and she’s covered in blood. I do not know if she’s still has her eye. I have her in my bedroom with food and some water with electrolytes. I don’t really know how to treat a wound this bad. Here’s what I have on hand. I also have peroxide and neosporin (without pain relief) I’m afraid of handling her to much because I don’t want to hurt her more or send her into shock (my quail aren’t the tame)

A picture of the wound would help. I had a hen that had an eye injury from a hawk. I could not tell at first from the blood and scabbing if her eye was still there.

Try to clean it up. Some gauze with slightly warm water gently placed over the wound can help loosen some of the blood. You can then rinse it with saline solution. Try to make sure there is no dirt or debris in her eye. Then put some teremycin or neosporin w/o pain medication around and over her eyelid.
