We have an Australorp pullet that is spending a lot of time on her side with legs to one side. The feet are spread on one only to draw during rest/sleep. The other looks drawn up. However, she will flex and move them from time to time. I've cleaned her twice now because she lays and won't move to deficate, gave her pedialyte, yogurt, and reg food on standby. She is isolated from the others as they pick on her, except her sister from her brood. She takes the pedialyte and yogurt. She moves and breathing seems normal. We've also taken a sample stool to the vet who is testing for any parasites. We think it may be her leg.
She is a pet to my 10 yr old daughter and we've read about some of the other problems on this forum.
Any ideas or collaboration? thanks
