auto pop door

Got the auto pop door done. It is a vertical slider. Do any of you have any ideas on a system that would lock the door after it is the down position so it could not be lifted by a varmit. When it goes down the bottom of the door goes into a channel that is 1 1/2 " deep. Do you think that would keep prying fingers from lifting the door. I have a couple electric car door locking motors but I not sure if they would work somehow or not. Please let me know. Thanks Dave C

Might be overkill to actually lock it. Maybe just add some weight to the door.
