Avian influenza found in South Carolina

They don't range, and the run is covered. Same as it always has been. Not much of anything more I can do. :fl
Perfect! — That is all you can do. Well that, plus cleansing and keeping coop-only boots, etc... But, I think most of us do all of that already as normal procedure.

Omigawd! Mine would go insane; they’d be such Pouting Babies if they didn't get their range time out in the chicken yard.

So last week USDA announced that avian influenza has been found in dairy herds in Kansas and Texas! Sick cows, virus found in their milk. Another troubling cross species event, for sure. That milk is all destroyed, and another reminder that using raw dairy products is NOT SMART!!!

"Bird flu previously has been reported in 48 different mammal species, Payne noted, adding: “It was probably only a matter of time before avian influenza made its way to ruminants.”
