She had a private spot inside the house for this round of babies. I did not interfere with what happens during the hatch, as it is not her first brood. I just give her space to do what she does naturally, and clean up the ants after it's done. Only after the babies start to move around and appear restless, I put out private food and water dishes. The mother doesn't want to leave the nice quiet nest. For the outdoor hatches, they leave the nest very quickly, but a private area inside i am surprised that the mother likes to just stay much longer. But there are lots of roosters outside, i don't blame her.
