How old are they? Chicks won't start roosting until about 4-6 weeks old.

Took my 4 week olds out for a field trip from the brooder today and they all payed down like this! Is this normal? First timer here! Also when will cockerel try to crow for the first time? My grey Banty stands up and makes a god awful sound...but they are only 4 weeks.
