The dad was a white frizzle with grey egg gene. the mom of the gray is my avatar, 2 of the yellows were mommed by a white leghorn/ee

This baby chick was being picked on by its searogant mother, the mother decided to lay on our other hens eggs. The side of its face is healing wonderfully.

My Cuckoo Marans hen sat on a clutch this spring. It was my first hatch by a hen. Very exciting times. My mixed breed hen also sat on a clutch for me. Don't think it will ever get old.

So cute!!! That first one is a curious color! Oh, and something I just learned with my newest chicks, is its actually Marans, not Maran. Always with an "s" at the end, like the city in France where they are named after. Figured I would spread the word, or in this case, the "s", because I don't think I am alone in that mistake.
