Baby Chicks Arrived!

Couldn't add Buffy's picture to the last post so I will put it here.

I'm worried about LittleBit. She started laying, TWO eggs a day! Some of them have been without a shell - 6 eggs in 3 days. Two without a shell and one broken in the coop because she laid it sometime between 9pm and 6am!

I've gotten all my chicks from My Pet Chicken. Very happy with my purchases. Not one mistake on sex, all arrived happy and healthy.

Our big girls are just over 8 months old now. Gracey and Littlebit (Crested Cream Legbar) give us a light blue egg just about every day. Buffey (Buff Orpington) gives us a brown egg around 5 days a week. Our little BlueMan is now 4+ months and his hormones have kicked in fully.

Don't worry it's a common occurrence with new layers till they get the egg making machine running right.

Thank You! I thought so too, but I am a little bias. He has become SOOOO skittish ! I handled him every day when he was just a boy. It seems like the day his hormones kicked in, he became scared of his own shadow. He no longer wants to have ANYTHING to do with me.
