Bad egg?

so I put a duck egg in on 4/27/20 and after a week we candled it and it "appeared" to be veining... so today as I was rotating them and topping off my water bowl in it, I decided to candle all the eggs again... Mr. 4/27 looked more like a cloudy mass inside instead... so the wife and I decided to remove it and I took it outside and carefully cracked it open, and all this greenish snot oozed out... I wonder what the cause of this is?

Probably bacterial contamination.
