My faverolle,ruby has had a bald tail and back ever since I have had her (approx 8 months) we were told she was a favorite of the roo where she came from. She is adorable, and because of her problem has become very tame. I have tried everything, and still there are just a few (maybe 4) feathers sticking out of her stump, just very short quills. She has no mites/lice but I treated her with ivermec anyway and use de regularly, she also has garlic apple cider vinager and I have tried cat food too. The other birds do not touch her tail at all and there is no soreness or irritation. Do I pluck the remaining quills or wait for a moult? The baldness goes halfway up her back, and she has black dots where the feathers should be poking through. Any advice would be much appreciated, im worried she will get sunburnt
