Hello,
I always thought that hatcheries could not accurately determine the sex of day old bantam chicks and that's why they only came in straight run.
But while browsing the internet I found a hatchery that offers bantams in a choice of male, female, or straight run.
Are they the only hatchery that knows how to do this or have I just not heard of this.
Thanks,
Adam.

I think theres a couple that sell sexed bantams or some sexed bantams
It's harder to sex bantams because of their small size and more stressful on them.
Most hatcheries just dont want to do it and don't want to deal with a bunch of unsold bantam cockerels.
I assume you saw MPC?
I've heard they make a lot of sexing mistakes with them but they do it because they know there's a big demand for them and when you charge $10 extra a chick to get pullets that's a good motivation also.
