Oreo and Betty free ranging this evening.

What kind of chick is Betty? She looks a bit like our d'uccle.

Here are my two barred rocks, Barbie and skipper.

My sister only has this breed in her flock of 7 & can't say enough good things about them. One day she got 19 eggs!!! Is that even possible?

Sorry, that is not possible @WendyF . Chickens can only lay one egg a day, it takes 25 hours for an egg to develop inside of a hen. I'm not sure why your sister would tell you that 7 hens laid 19 eggs, as that is not physically possible.

I just located a hidden nest it apprears that I doubled my egg count. Not so but too funny for my egg count

I did float all eggs and used for baking only.
