You guys, these birds are just jaw droppingly gorgeous!!! I contacted Jeremy about a month ago about getting some in the spring and I'm hoping to get some from Kathy at some point too. I cannot wait to look out my window at a flock of these lovelies!
Has anyone processed one of these birds yet? Is it worth growing out the roos as meat birds considering that it takes 30 weeks or so to fill them out?? Is the flavor that much better as claimed by Frank Reese??.........stan ( with 7 extra cockerels running up my feed bill)

I have about 16 of them in my freezer. Yes, they taste fabulous!
16? In the freezer?
And I have how many in my breeder pens?
oh yeah..... none.
It was very hard too. I had people coming here begging me for them. I said, "NO! ! ! I want them in my freezer, darn it!" That's why I raised them..... to eat! Well, and for eggs.....
My pullets did it!! I knew they could lay, it just took them 32 weeks to do it! Nice sized pullet eggs too, almost could be called large. Now I expect extra large.
