Could be up to 5 Marans that could include any of the above mentioned colors. There are many more welsummer eggs in the bator. All are pure bred.
2 Black chicks have hatched and other eggs are pipping and zipping as I write this Thursday morning.
I have a situation where brooding them will be a big hassle, so it is all or nothing. If I have to brood part of them, I will keep them all.
I am in EC Kansas and they will have to be picked up by this weekend. I could meet part way for gas.

No, I do not know the lineage of the chicks.
The marans eggs are very close to the color of the welsummer eggs.
The welsummer eggs are very close to the color of the marans eggs, but many have speckles and freckles. Some of the welsummer eggs are very large and some smaller.
More noise coming from the bator so need to see who else has made a grande entry to the world.
