We are using pine shavings in the brooder. They work great except they go flying too easily when the chicks jump around or flap their wings. I was thinking of giving pellet cat litter (like yesterday's news or feline pine) a try. Is this a good idea or is there a problem that I'm not thinking of? I've got to do something b/c there's shavings everywhere! I'm using the hand vac constantly b/c I have a 1 year old that puts everything in her mouth!
