Beginner chicken questions

Hi there,
I'm new to this site and am planning to build a coop in the spring for approx. 6 chickens.
Does anyone know where I can get some egg laying hens? I live in Ontario. I heard about the Mount Forest Fur & Feather but I can't find out when it is.
Also I'm looking for hens that lay blue eggs.
If anyone knows I'de really appreciate it.

You can mail order, or craigslist, or you could call your feed store and see if they have any. My feed store keeps a corkboard for people to post things like chickens for sale. You could check there.
