behavioral changes

Seems to be some sudden changes in behavior.
#1 the death of one hen..not really a behavior pattern to post on there..
#2 they stopped using the nest box for some reason, now all lay in the corner on the other side of the hen house
#3 I was just outside and saw 2 of the hens had this big frog and were trying to catch and eat it. is this normal? The frog was about 3 inches long. Have thy gone werechicken on me?

Clean out your nest boxes. If they get too dirty, full of dander, mites or just basic crud, the hens will stop using them. Keep the boxes fresh.

As for the frog, yes this is normal behavior. Chickens eat meat...things like lizards, all manner of bugs, mice, frogs, even each other! LOL So not to worry about this.

And now someone ( Snowball) just layed an egg on the hill....wth?
