If you plan to keep your chickens in the old fashioned, especially free-range, backyard way, rather than in a domestic version of a contemporary commercial operation, there are some good old reference books written before or just as modern methods were being introduced, available freely online, e.g.Any recommendations on a good chicken general reference book to have on hand?
Something that contains all the common do's, don't, ailments, chick to hen development, etc. (Prefer one available on Thriftbooks)
Thanks for your suggestions. I did do some research and found some good info. I took what I knew and beefed it up with some of what I learned through research and wrote my own book. I posted the title in an above post. Most of the sources you suggested would have certainly made my book better.
