I installed misters in my pens this summer (wow, they really looove them). I have decided to get some sod to lay out under them for my pea's to peck at so I am not wasting the water. I'm in the desert and don't have any experience at all with grass. I found a place in town that has sod without pesticides and fertilizers but they have soo many different kinds. What kind would be the healthiest for the peas? I'm not worried about how well it does in the weather here because I plan on replacing it as needed to make sure they always have some.
