I was wanting a broody hen to hatch some eggs... I thought the Bielefelder would be great, because I have to keep her separate from the others...I have one Bielefelder hen who is broody. Trying to break her; not ready for chicks. But man, she is not happy with me one. little. bit. !
Instead my BLRW went broody, so I moved her from the main coop and put her on some eggs with the Bielefelder, since I knew the BLRW would just think about her eggs and not bother the Biele...
One evening I went there and couldn't find the Biele...
She was sleeping behind the broody's box...
Then I noticed, all day she stays there and watches over the broody...
