Bird Netting - Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace

Under no circumstances would I leave any part of my coops open after dark. All window are covered with hardware cloth. Pop holes and doors shut. Air vents hardware cloth covered.

While my runs are covered I trust no poultry netting to be strong enough to keep a predator out.

for 5 years we have trusted the netting, without locking up the coop. and we have not had any problems, even with our 60 pound dog climbing up it and then getting stuck

also when we had ALOT of snow one winter it was so heavy it ripped the 6 cemented posts out of the ground but the netting was just fine

This netting is black nylon. Not plastic. Plastic would probably be a bit sturdier. For those with coops in the middle of a field, I live in an urban area with a wood fence as one long wall of my run. Raccoons could prob run along my fence and then walk out onto the netting.
