(a day)(Okay thanks. How long has it been since the disaster?)
Ever since the disaster yesterday, Ace had been soaring through the skies searching for a new place he could peacefully call his home. This is going to be a tedious task, he thought frustratingly to himself as he flapped his wings as calmly as possible. Surely it was expected for him to be in a bitter mood after the event took place, but he was a calm bird. The bright sunlight above was comforting as well.

Since he was high in the sky searching, he had a great view of the land below and easily spot the chicken. It wasn't a rare sight either since much of the area was farmlands and those type of birds roamed everywhere. What was odd was the sight of one after the disaster. Ace assumed all had perished. Still flapping his wings, he looked down and eyed Hazel curiously. Wonder if there are more like her around here... he thought to himself and continued on while watching her carefully.

Judging by how Ace viewed the newcomers into the area and how they greeted each other, he immediately assumed they knew each other... maybe even closer. His owl-eyes swiftly glanced at the new chicken coming into the scene. More chickens? Of course not all surprised given the nature of the land here. Come to think of it... why did I settle here in the first place? Here, of all places! the owl thought. "Maybe it was surplus of field mice," then he added verbally. Ace returned his gaze back on Hazel and slowed down his flight greatly.
She saw the owl looking at her funny then she heard someone call out. She looked towards the destruction of her coop and called out, "Fuzzy! June! Lily! I'm so glad you're ok!"

"Is it safe to come out?"asked June
