I've ordered 1 maran roo and 25 rir to just have a fun experiment . I'm looking to breed a more frequent layer of dark brown eggs. I know some have done this but I'm curious about egg color. Does anyone have any photos?

I know several people have discussed this in the forum before @iambebabeba I think had a post I saw about that crossing and had some good results. Maybe they can chime in with their experiences. @NatJ also may be able to provide some good genetics info?

Prediction is easy enough: laying ability in between what the two parent breeds have, and shade of brown in between what the two parent breeds have.

But I don't have any photos of the egg color.
