Black Copper Marans pullet or cockerel?

I can't tell if I have a pullet or a cockerel and I need your opinions please.

This bird is between 7 to 8 weeks old. At first I was thinking cockerel since the comb was coming in a little fast, but not near as fast as a blue copper Marans cockerel of about the same age.

If it's a cockerel the wattles seem a little small for 7-8 weeks or at least I would think. It is already getting some copper in the hackle area.







Blue Marans that arrived with this one. This one is in the middle behind the blue guy.

I'm thinking pullet at this point, but I would keep an eye on that comb and wattles. If they start reddening up over the next few weeks, you have a cockerel.

That's what gets me. I keep thinking it will get more red and it looks more like the other pullet the older they get.

Hopefully it doesn't get more red until shortly before she begins laying. )
