What color chicks do you get when crossing black shoulder hens and an opal peacock

You are mixing a pattern and a color so they should be dominant color (IB) split Opal and split BS. Unless the Opal cock is also BS or split BS then you may also have some IBBS split Opal.

As a rule of thumb mixing colors doesn't really give you anything different or special. When two recessive color/pattern birds are bred together the offspring "default" to India blue unless one of the parents is carrying something else.
