Blackened vent on my Pekin duck

My adult Pekin duck's vent area is turning black. I have had 2 others die in the past 3 months from what appears to be the same thing before I realized anything was seriously wrong. I just noticed her vent this morning. Any knowledge or recommendations for me?

Pictures of the affected area, and their living area would be helpful.

Do they have access to clean swimming water everyday?

Here is where they stay a lot but they are not confined here. It is my chicken run that is netted. They also have a big pond. They spend very little time there unless I close up the chicken coop and run them out. I'm struggling with adding photos.

Do you think she has been injured? Have you literally picked her up and examined the vent area?

It might be flystrike. I just lost 2 pekin drakes to the damn flies look for maggots.
