Blood in empty egg... Pic included

is there supposed to be blood? The chick doesn't seem to be bleeding but the egg has a little pool of blood in it. Is there anything I can do to help?

It is fine. No worries. It is probably leftover blood from the membranes. Just keep an eye on the chickie.

Did the chick hatch out itself? Chicks normally hatch out by pecking around the egg, and then pushing out, not pecking apart the side of the egg. Just wondering. Looks normal though, sometimes I get chicks with some blood left in the shell.
