I have 15 Standard size Cochin hens and 1 Standard size black Cochin rooster.
Colors are Blue, Black and Splash.

One of them went broody last summer and I let her some eggs.
One of the chicks that hatched ended up being a Silver laced Wyandotte-Jubilee Orpington cross(from a different coop).
This was accidental I grabbed the wrong egg off the counter to set under her they were supposed to be all Cochins.
I kept the mutt cockerel and unexpectedly he was fertilizing eggs at just 12 weeks old.
I know this because another Cochin hen hatched more chicks and one of them is Gold laced.
The rest are 2 Black and 5 Blue.
But 2 of the Blue chicks are Blue with some gold markings in the down feathers.
Is it possible to get gold leakage or markings on a Blue Cochin or are the 2 chicks with gold leakage most likely mutts from the dreaded mutt cockerel?

I don't have current photos, but I have a Blue Australorp x Silver-Laced Cochin cockerel who, at 12 weeks, is blue with gold leakage/gold partial lacing.

Got any pictures?
