We finally started the new coop this last weekend. Pretty impressed with our progress, but still a lot to do. Questions, comments, and tips are greatly appreciated šŸ˜

Kinda late.... but,
I would have suggested much larger roof overhangs with more mesh walls for shade and ventilation.
I have a window coming and the entire front will remain open covered in hardware cloth. We're also going to build an awning for the front as well. Also installing a double ventilation fan. You think that'll work? Still a lot to do, but I'll be glad when they're outta that sh!#$y pre-fab

Should help. Time will tell.
Metal coops can become ovens unless they are in full deep shade.
How big and where will the window be...can you leave it open in the rain?
Good if the fan is a dust proof barn type fan to avoid fire hazard.
How hot does it get where you are, and is it a dry or humid heat??

There are a ton of trees that will shade the coop and future run area. The window is 18x21 and will be on the side where the people door is, it will also have an awning so yes often in the rain. The fan is sold for chicken coops at my local feed store. I'm in central Texas so humid but not like the coast and occasionally gets to 100, mostly in the 80's and 90's though
