Ok chicken math kicked in. Girls, not the original 11. But other 12 that magically appeared. Out grew thev8×8 hoop coop. 6ft clearance. I'm 6.1 with scabs on my head. Forget to duck.
New coop off the ground 12×8.
8ft ceilings.😁 6 nesting boxes. So one 12ft side completely open for perches and poop holder. Opposite side wall 6ft open. Any suggestions?

I always go for a 2x4 wide side up, 1 linear foot per bird. Make sure they are higher than the nest boxes to discourage them from sleeping in the nest boxes.
Yes going to use 2×4 just wanting maximum roof for some grumpy girls in the evening.Thinking I can even run a couple off the top plate.

I wouldn't place them much higher than the nest boxes. Larger and older birds can hurt themselves getting down. You also want to be able to grab them off for examinations, etc.

Good advice thank. Have one now about 4 ft high with another lower one. They kinda work there way to it. Seem to like it better than the lower ones.
