Really old thread you posted on, but I'll answer.What do the two blue egg laying breeds look like? Any personality quirks? Why are they crossbred which is what I assume is then called "easter egger" which isn't a pure breed so has no breed name, correct? What is the advantage to crossbreeding?
Ameraucana are the recognize breed with a pea comb, muffs, beards, white skin, tails and only have a handful of colors.

The Araucana is a recognized breed with a pea comb, tufts, yellow skin and are rumpless.

Hatchery sourced Easter Eggers are not crossbreeds, as most assume. They are actually what both of the recognized breeds were derived from. Easter Eggers just haven't been selectively bred towards any particular standard. With an Araucana or Ameraucana, you know what to expect in terms of laying rate, rate of development, temperament, size, egg color, and looks. With an Easter Egger, there are no such guarantees.
