Cockerel for sure. And-yes, the boys do feather in differently. I've raised this breed for over 5yrs. The males do not get the feathering on their back or tails, as quickly as the pullets do.

They look more like gold laced.I have 2 BLR Wyandottes and I would love input because they do not look like these pictures at all! They are feathering SO much slower than the chicks that hatched the same day. Different breeds so maybe that’s a factor, but do I have 2 cockerels, and are they even BLR Wyandottes?
4wks is a bit young to sex give it another 2/3wks then post more picsPullet or Rooster? This is my first Blue Laced Red Wyandotte that I have ever had. Do the Wyandottes tend to feather slowly in both pullets and cockerels? This one is 4 weeks old and does not have very many feathers or much of a comb or waddle. If anyone has a photo that I can compare mine to around this age that would be great! View attachment 1572918 View attachment 1572930
