Shouldn't you put some chicken wire around the bulbs, or in between the bulbs and where the chicks will be. I am assuming of course, that the chicks are supposed to just go into the box when they are cold, much like going under their mama hen?
It looks great though, and is a good idea, but I would want something separating the chicks from the bulbs.

They are not hot enough to be an issue. But it would probably last longer if they could not peck at them.
