Hi everyone,
Last spring i ordered some ameraucauna eggs from ebay.well....
when they arrived I opened a package of olive green,mint green,and pale blue eggs.
I managed to hatch and raise 3 to maturity. One lavender/red shoulder roo and 2 hens.one hen lays a blue egg the other is mint green (My rooster killed the one that laid blue eggs.he was too hard on her.even though there was 7 other hens to choose from?
I recently lucked into 2 beautiful buff wheaton ameraucauna hens. Ive had them for 9 days now and they have yet to lay.
id like to breed them to my EE roo in hopes of achieving more blue colored eggs. (Im aware they will be considered EE 's)
Any opinions on the outcome?
My rooster is bearded but has a somewhat tall upright/straight slightly larger than a pea comb. (Ive read the blue egg trait coincides with the pea comb).
