Brewers Yeast Question

Do any of you give your ducks brewers yeast in their food? I am feeding my call ducklings food that has niacin in it. I was wondering is I should also add a little brewers yeast into their food?

Before adding anything to the feed already being supplied check the packaging for the ingredient list- and compare the list to the requirements for Call ducklings. You may find the feed alone is addequate and if they show no signs of being deficient in anything- additives are not so much necessary- but more of an added precaution to ensure they are getting enough.

Unless your feed is specifically formulated for waterfowl I would add it. Brewers yeast is a very safe source of nutrients so it wouldn't cause a problem even if they were getting enough in their feed.

My feed is Nutrena game bird starter crumbles. How much brewers yeast would I add to @6 cups of feed, any ideas?

Yes, I would like to know as well...bought some brewer's yeast today!

I just sprinkle a little bit on their food in the morning. Probably about a tablespoon full.
