I got this last year and prior to that I used the styrophoam ones for years and years for lizard, green cheek conures and chicken eggs.
The thermometer is at the top. I don't like that. How do I know whether the temp is correct for my eggs. I used it once last spring semi successful and in the fall, my son died. I have been out of commission for a while here.
Trying to get back in the game, I put 8 silkie eggs in my new Brinsea 20 and the temp was right before I put them in, but checked last night and it was 104!!! OMG! Is my bator bad or did the eggs bring the temp up?
I gradually got it back to just at 100 but now I won't know if I cooked the eggs or possibly the eggs are now not warm enough due to the thermometer being at the top??
All experienced Brinsea people please help as I can't call the company until Monday. Thank you so much!
Maybe my Brinsea is malfunctioning? If so, I hope they still will back me up.
