My husband and I just got chickens this week- 4 red sex links. We bought a coop online which we have moved into our small garden and will section off an area just for them. We plan to build one before winter that will be better in the cold weather. Once that is made, we will get some bantams and then in the spring 2 ducks which I am super excited about. I am learning about chickens, ducks and quail from reading "Storey's Guide to Raising Chickens", "Gardening with Chickens" and pinterest. I am an architect and my husband is a leadership and speaker development coach and musician. We have two Chihuahuas and live in Sullivan County, NY.
