I have 8 week old chicks that are still inside (crazy, I know). Due to life happening, we won't have our coop fully finished until one day this week. Cleaning dust everyday has become a little much, so I was trying to find a way to eliminate it a little bit. I found myself staring at the "allergen reducing furnace filters" that I have, and thought it would be worth a try. I cleaned everything last night and put the furnace filter on top of the brooder, and over 24hrs later I would like to share that there is not NEARLY as much dust!!! YAY!!! My brooder is in a GIANT dog kennel, so I just Set the furnace filter over the top part of the cage. I'm glad I went with the kennel because they still have plenty of room, but I'm even more happy about the dust reduction.
