Just Saying, Cause Foster Moms an Pullet, Never laid an Egg. Just went broody Early Summer. ... I tried breaking her Nothing Worked ! so I gave in after 3 months. gave her some Inferential eggs " No Known Rooster" S U R P R I S E Because 21 days later = 2 banty chicks then I added 2 standard chicks, same age this weekend ♥

Not surprising...she looks to be a Silkie mix.

Silkies are notorious for going broody as soon as they are old enough to know what brood means. (She probably laid an egg or two before you noticed, then went broody).

My hybrid mixes are also broody prone.

You've got a hybrid Silkie...yup...she should make an awesome momma for you...rather regularly too.

Good, I been worried she'd Not know what to do... Natures best for me... she has a Hissie Fit now, when we are close. Must be all the ruffled feathers I've given her putting in those standard chicks. it'll start Fall's Rains soon, hope she'll keep em Dry.
