Ugh! Just found Daisy's clutch of 13 eggs she has been sitting on. Unfortunately she doesn't have a partner so the chickens got a treat. (Broke our hearts, but no idea how long she'd been on them.)

We put some larger fertilized chicken eggs back in her nest. Any chance she'll hatch them? Zero experience with ducks. She wandered onto the farm a couple months and has blended in with our flock of 200 chickens.

We are looking for a partner for her, but no clue what she is. I know she's not a runner, doesn't stand up straight.

Yes, the chances are that she will hatch those chicken eggs for you- chickens quite often hatch ducks and visa versa. Just make sure that the nest is in a secure spot, safe from predators as broody poultry can make an easy dinner for a raccoon or fox.

Daisy is gorgeous! She looks like a Khaki Campbell to me, she definately is not a wild duck- probably an abandoned pet.
