Broody hen and 13 week old chicks

My 9 year old broody hen is still fussing over her 3 chicks who are now 13 weeks old. They climb all over her and she still calls them into bed at night. She is a bantam Cochin and they are quite large EEs bigger than her. Is this common?

Nothing unusual about it. Good momma hens hang on to their chicks, sometimes even for almost 5 months as did my two Rhode Island Reds named Karla and Klara.

Moma hens are the sweetest, Pee wee has been amazing.
