Hey Gang - My broodies (2) - whose babes are 3 wks old are either pulling out or losing their feathers....I'd say this has been happening over the last week - the light brahma doesn't look too healthy these days - her waddles and comb are really pale - I've started letting them out to free range this week for a few hours here and there....and they're eating the chick feed which I read was fine for them - I just made some scrambled eggs for them for breakfast - any other suggestions gals? Thanks!
Do you think that the mother hens could be going thru a molt after their nesting? One of them has had a huge poop similiar to what they were when she was laying on the eggs.....wanting to nest again??????
