Broody question

I've got two hens that are trying to sit on the same nest. One will be on it all day long and when she tries to get up to go eat, the other will take over for her. Is that normal?

Are there eggs in the nest?

Yes, she's sitting on eggs. Just a bit ago, I went out there and noticed that the other hen was sitting super close to the broody one almost like she's wanting to share the nest.
This is my first time with a broody.

sounds like 2 broodys I think i would get more eggs so they both could set
