Broody?

My chicken became mean... Idk why.. There was a hawk attack, but she was okay after that ... Is she broody?She screams at anything that comes near her, when she is on the nesting box. And even when she isn't on the nesting box... She is a buff Orpington .

It may be possible that she is starting to go broody. Some hens may act like it, but never set, and some may go all the time. Kind of depends on the individual. I would wait until she is anchored on top of the nest and has no desire to move to put any eggs under though.
