Hi ( I posted in your other thread as well). I'm just seeing this thread. I'm just wondering if you'd ever considered just using a Brown/red D'Uccle for your project as opposed to introducing a different breed in the mix?

I realized I should of done that after I found out there where Brown/Red D’Uccles. But as of right now I don’t have the brown/red D’Uccles. I’d like to get some though.

I was surprised to see that they have them at Ideal Poultry. I've got one too now from another source but there aren't a lot out there for sure! I too am working on a new project color which uses the birchen color too. This is my little brown/red pullet hatched out late last year.

This is a Brown/Red with one copy of dominant white

My little fluffy butts are 4 months old!

Sadly their oldest brother (original roo) pasted away. He got stuck in between the wall of the coop and a board.
