So my boyfriend and I decided that we wanted buckeye chickens and once we pick a breed that is all we want because we know we are going to want to hatch babies eventually. Well what we thought we had were 2 girl buckeye chickens and a rooster. BUT after a couple weeks of our girl chicken being aggressive and crowing it looks like she is growing the black/green tail feathers. So that would mean then we have two roosters! BUT they have different combs, is it possible for two roosters to both be buckeyes and have different combs. Here are pictures I captured this morning really quickly.
What we thought was a girl is on the left and the boy on the right....
Girl? Boy?
Rhode Island Red?
