My sister purchased hatching eggs and hatched out what was supposed to be Buff Opingtons. She gifted this one to my son today but I'm not so sure it's a Buff Opington. The legs are yellow, not white and I don't think the black feathers are normal for a Buff. Suggestions on what it could be?

She also hatched Columbian Rocks along with the Buff Orpingtons. This one is kind of marked like a Columbian Rock but it's red and not white.

Your chick is definitely not a Buff Orpington or an Orpington at all, and appears to be a mixed breed without much Orpington genes, if any, in her. She could not be a Columbian Rock either, since they have white feathers with black-streaked hackles, black saddles and black sickles.
