Bumblefoot, no scab, swelling isn't reducing, trying everything, what now?

Thank you great video and information. Did you watch you tube vids or just do it cold turkey? I’d be a nervous wreck even thinking of giving a shot to one of my birds.

The vet showed me how and I watched him do it so I felt pretty confident after that.

Today she had a scab near the stitches. I opened it a little and clear liquid came out so I slathered her foot with Neosporin. We'll see how it looks tomorrow.

She has completed her antibiotics. I sent pictures of the little pink part that's swelling and he said if there's more discharge then she'd have to go back on antibiotics. Right now when I open it it's just pink so I hope that's a good sign.

All I know about bumble is if you don't get that core out it isn't going to heal up. antibiotics along won't do it. If you remove the scab is that when you see only pink? Usually once I start soaking in warm Epsom salt water and give it 2-3 days of clear iodine I can peel off the scab and either the core comes out with the scab or I can dig it out with sterile tweezers.

When I open the scab is when I see pink, yes. The first two days it was a little bit of clear pus, now it's just skin. I'm a little hesitant to do iodine just because it's all so close to the rest of her healing scab. I've been slowly cutting the stitches out. Then applying Vetericyn and Neosporin afterward. I wonder if it could just be granulomas in reaction to the stitches.

It just looks so swollen still. Just keep up with what your doing and hopefully the swelling will go down. Is this foot hot to touch compared to the other one? If there’s heat along with swelling then there is still infection.

The swelling is definitely less than it was, like it's less tall and on the bottom of her foot I can tell it has deflated. It is still wide though for sure. I'll take new pictures tomorrow morning and email the vet again. He hasn't seemed concerned at all, which makes me hopeful.

Today's development. A bit of clear liquid. The big scab with the stitches tied up in it fell off so I finished cutting it off with scissors. I sent these pics to the vet and he says we should come in to check it out. Her foot isn't warm so that's good.

I'm just not sure when the next appt will be because he sees small animals on Mon/Tues and this upcoming is Christmas Eve/Night so I don't know if they're gonna hold clinic.
