Big leaves, it seems, munched down to the stalk. No slime that I can see, but we have had rain every day for the last forever. It seems to affect one leaf at a time. I could probaby just make a circle of DE around each plant to see if it helps. I don't know that it is really hurting them at this point.

Lol, mine too. Even the chickens will go after them sometimes.

These are fenced in, though. Seems only one or two stalks per plant at any time, never really much more. Makes me think I should just let it be.

My melons aren't mutants. Thanks! My dad said my melon patch looked good and he used to grow melons that weighed like 40lbs!

I have a backwards volunteer squash, it starts out yellow and green and matures white
