We haven't had any winter weather until this week!!!
Not an entry but this is as close as I want to get to the 'white stuff' ...I let a sprinkler run to keep the well cycling so the pipes wouldn't freeze. I was still mowing my yard until the freeze.

The ice buildup from the sprinkler fall is incredible in terms of the patterning.

Two Speckled Sussex checking to see if any snacks might be forthcoming from the wellhouse, where scratch, BOSS and dried mealworms ae stored. The remaining 24 chickens did not set foot out of the hen house today. Sammy on guard.
